Anoka House Party
On another cold night in Anoka, just miles from our campaign headquarters, we had a great house party right off Main Street at the home of Ron Jankowski. Ron remarked that it was "a wonderful gathering of people who are trying to make a positive difference in the world- everyone thought that Maureen was a warm, intelligent, caring individual."
Maureen talked about the depth and breadth of her real world experience, commenting that "while I was the director of the Parks and Trails Council of Minnesota, our health insurance quote was so high that the decision had to be made between laying one of the seven employees off, or cutting health benefits for everyone. In American, this is not a decision small businesses should have to make- we can do better." She also added, "I have created jobs and balanced budgets in the private sector, when elected, I will bring the same common sense principles I've employed throughout my life to Congress."
Thanks for hosting the event, Ron. I'm looking forward to working with you in the weeks and months ahead leading up to defeating Bachmann!
