A day for Family and Gratitude
Happy Thanksgiving!
My hope is that you are well and getting ready to enjoy the holiday with family and friends. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays - it is a day filled with good cheer and gratitude for all the blessings we have in our lives. This year is no exception!
In declaring my congressional candidacy in the sixth district, I chose a new path, one that has given me the opportunity to meet some new wonderful friends, learn about what is important to them, and let them know I want to work on their behalf to bring positive change to their lives. I am also grateful for my dedicated and hardworking staff who work with me every day on the campaign. They are as committed as I am to improving the lives of every sixth district resident, and they inspire me with their energy and enthusiasm.
In the worst economic crisis since World War II, it is an understatement to say there are many challenges ahead. I will continue to reach out to people, listen to their concerns and offer solutions to help. I know that together we can turn this economic crisis around, lower unemployment, help people back into their homes and reform health care. We can do better and I am grateful to get the chance to make a difference in people's lives.
And speaking of making a difference, I also want to thank my supporters - without your encouragement and assistance there would not be a campaign.
As I look forward to my family's 45th reunion in Luverne this weekend, wherever you choose to spend this day, may you have a very happy and safe holiday!
Sincerely,

Maureen
