"Growing up in North Minneapolis, very close to the Fremont Community Clinic, Maureen's work there originally interested me in her candidacy. As a retired social worker, I greatly admired her work providing healthcare to an underserved population. It is also incredibly urgent that we beat Michele Bachmann, and Maureen is the candidate who can do it. She can draw the moderate and independent voters in order to form a winning coalition."

"The main reason I support Maureen's candidacy is that I think she'd be such a nice contrast to what we have now. "I support Maureen Reed for several reasons. Leading the list is her personal understanding of the medical field and therefore her ability to bring this knowledge to a governmental level rather than having career politicians make these decisions without personal experience. Her role at the Parks and Trails Council is also very important to me as our environment continues to see unfavorable pressures and attacks from many short-sighted entities. Having grown up and enjoyed the beauties of this state, she has campaigned to protect our heritage and will be a responsible steward of this beauty. Furthermore, we need leaders that align people rather than divide them, and I feel she would be such a person."

Diane Dahl, Stillwater. Diane supports Maureen because:

Dr. Howard Stang, Stillwater. Dr. Stang supports Maureen because:
"Maureen has her finger on pulse of health care reform from the perspective of having practiced as a physician in the community. Her leadership in business administration and as the Chair of the University of Minnesota Board of Regents, makes her imminently qualified to take on the task of working to represent us in the 6th District. "I live in St. Cloud with my husband and five children. I've been an advocate and community organizer for the past 25 years. I'm a lifelong Democrat and in 2008 I was the Political Consultant for Senate District 15. I'm supporting Maureen Reed for Congress because I believe it will take democrats and independents support to defeat Michele Bachmann. Maureen will represent the 6th Congressional District well. Voters are tired of polar opposites and derisive campaigns. We live in a time where we need to work together. Maureen has a proven track record of working with both sides of the aisle. Maureen is a democrat and our beliefs are in alignment. Maureen is brilliant, thoughtful, articulate, and compassionate. Those are not the words I'd use to describe our current representative. Pat Spence, Watab Township in Benton County. Pat works as the Catholic Church Lay Ministry and Watab Township Clerk, she supports Maureen because:

"For me, I vote for the person, not the party. The fact that Maureen has had a medical background would make her a tremendous asset in Washington. I had an event at my house with my friends and neighbors including Republicans, Democrats, and Independents.
